Jewellery Information

How can you judge the quality of diamonds?

Diamonds that possess the highest qualities of cut, colour and clarity are the rarest and
therefore most valuable. It’s not that complicated, but to really understand what the differences
mean you need to see them with your own eyes. Read up on the information here and then
make an appointment at one of our stores and we will guide you through the different grades.

Always ask to examine the diamond using a jeweller’s loupe. This is an eyeglass with
10x magnification and it’s a standard tool within the trade. You can also use a loupe to
look at the quality of the setting and general craftsmanship of the piece.
